Kim – Hating/Loving every minute of it!
I made the conscious decision to hire a personal trainer after a bunch of weight gain. I was going on a vacation with family and was extremely unhappy with myself. After extensive research, I decided to consult with Mark. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health. It might have also been one of my most terrifying decisions.
Trainers are stereotyped to be harsh and yell at their clients and push them to a whole new extreme. This is definitely not the case. Not once have I had Mark yell at me or has he been harsh to me but he definitely isn’t afraid to push me. I am probably one of the most difficult clients that Mark has had to work with. I’m beyond stubborn and was unwilling to try new things. However with a bunch of convincing, Mark got me to attempt a box jump. Now i am able to do a 2 foot box jump with ease. If it weren’t for Mark, I would have never attempted to do this myself.
Mark is an absolutely amazing trainer. He is constantly getting me to do different exercises and does not hesitate to correct my form when needed. If a particular exercise is causing me pain, he will substitute it for something else. Mark learns how much your body can handle and he knows when you are slacking off which i find amazing; especially since I am bad for not pushing myself. He helps you keep on track with your goals by assigning homework to do on your off days rather than leaving you high and dry.
I’ve been a client of Marks for about 5 months now and I’ve lost a little over 20 lbs, 4.7% of my body fat and 3 inches off my waist. I am so happy with the results I have seen. Without Mark, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have given up. Don’t get me wrong, there has been many times where I just want to throw my hands up and quit but Mark makes it so difficult to do that. Mark will give me a hard time when I do!
